"Eastern Promises"

The story is about Russian crime syndicate or mafia's underground business which includes sex trade. And with Naomi's Watts, a mid-wife trails the deceased (14 year old girl) family who could take care of the newborn. Well, if you'd watched A History of Violence, you would expect in this show the level of violence or some artful display of brutalness in the murder scenes. And the planned bathhouse attack reflected the reality of 'underworld' gangster. And this show is finely in tune with a classic Russian movie and of course, Mortensen's most daring performance.
